Hon Moshood Charges the Newly Elected CDC Executive Members to be Good Ambassadors.

It was a joyous moment when Prince Taiwo Busari was declared the winner of the just concluded Community Development Council, CDC, election in Egbedore Area Council, Okinni.
The election commenced with accreditation of the eligible voters where the Director of Social Development and Information Department in the council, Comrade Oladele Omodara presided over the election as the returning officer.
In his welcome address, he enjoined all the participants both the candidates and the voters to adhere strictly to the rules of the election as he promised that the election would be credible, free and fair.
The Caretaker chairman of the Egbedore Area Council, Hon. Moshood Olalekan Olawale, in his remark, welcomed all the participants and thanked them for their efforts in ensuring the development of their various communities and Okinni at large.
He further admonished them to continue to be good ambassadors of their respective communities and promised not relent in supporting all the communities in Egbedore Area Council.
The voting which took place within the council secretariat started at 10:55am and was concluded at 12:07pm.
Prince Busari Taiwo emerged as the newly elected chairman with other nine elected excutive members who were sworn in immediately.
The Desk Officer of CDC in Egbedore Area Council, Mrs. Olubunmi Atolagbe was in attendance with all the Information Officers in the council namely; Mrs. Florence Adekunle, Mr. Adediran Ojo and Mr. Olalekan Okelola.
The Director of NOA in Egbedore Local Government, Mrs Omoyeni and the representative of the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, Mrs. Oyegoke were as well in attendance to monitor the election.
You would recall that in April, 2024, the Osun state government dissolved all the CDC executives at the state, zonal and local government levels and called for fresh elections.
