An Independence Day Message from Comrade Eziekel Okekunle Sola JPState Chairman, Police-Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Osun State Command
On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire leadership of the Police-Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Osun State Command, I extend warm Independence Day greetings to His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State, the State Commissioner of Police, officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, executives and members of the PCRC in Osun State, and all patriotic citizens of our dear state and Nigeria.
As Nigeria commemorates 66 years of Independence, we celebrate a remarkable journey marked by resilience, perseverance, diversity and collective aspirations. Over the decades, our nation has faced various socio-economic and security challenges, yet our commitment to peace, unity, mutual respect and national development continues to strengthen the bonds that hold us together.
As a community-driven organization committed to bridging the gap between the Police and the communities they serve, the PCRC recognizes that meaningful national development cannot thrive without peace, security, trust and cooperation.
Security is not the responsibility of uniformed officers alone; it is a shared civic responsibility. Every citizen has a role to play by supporting lawful institutions, providing useful information, promoting peaceful coexistence and protecting the values of our communities.
On this auspicious occasion, I reaffirm the commitment of the PCRC Osun State Command to strengthening community policing, promoting constructive engagement, encouraging actionable intelligence sharing, and further enhancing the relationship between communities and the Nigeria Police Force across Osun State.
Let us celebrate this Independence Day with hope, patriotism and renewed dedication to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
