Governor Adeleke Presents Staff of Office to the New Owa Obokun of Ijesaland.

Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke of Osun State today presented the staff of office and certificate to the new Owa Obokun of Ilesa land, Oba Adesuyi Clement Hastrup.

The presentation ceremony, which took place at the palace of the Owa Obokun, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Wale Egbedun; Senator Fadahunsi, representing Osun East in the red chamber; and the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sanya Omirin, who led the party’s delegation to the event.

Other notable attendees included traditional rulers such as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan; the Ataoja of Osogbo; and the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Akanbi.

In his remarks, Governor Adeleke reiterated his administration’s commitment in making a new Ijesa land, emphasizing his dedication to development and progress.

He also announced that the construction of a dual-carriage road in Ilesa is currently underway, a testament to his administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for the people of Ijesa land.

The governor also charged the new Owa Obokun to use his vast experience, both locally and internationally, to drive development in every corner of Ijesaland.
