TICC Commends Oyebamiji’s Sportmanship,

The Imole Campaign Council, TICC, has commended the APC candidate in the August 15, 2026 Osun Governorship Election, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, for congratulating Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory, describing it as a demonstration of political maturity.

In a statement issued in Osogbo on Sunday, August 31, 2026 and signed by its spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq., the Council said Oyebamiji’s gesture was commendable at a time the state needed healing and reconciliation.

“This is a commendable demonstration of sportsmanship and political maturity. Elections will come and go, but Osun State remains our collective heritage,” the statement read.

TICC noted that the election was keenly contested and emotions ran high, adding that “regrettably, precious lives were lost.” It therefore called for sobriety and unity among leaders across party lines.

“We call on leaders across political divides to embrace this moment and work together for the peace, progress and development of our dear state. Political differences should never become permanent divisions among a people who share a common destiny,” it stated.

The Council also disclosed that Governor Adeleke is open to ideas and suggestions from Oyebamiji and other stakeholders on how to move the state forward.

“Also, it is important to note that Governor Ademola Adeleke is open to ideas and suggestions from Mr Oyebamiji and others on how to move Osun State forward. The development of our dear state and the progress of her people is a collective responsibility,” TICC said.

It concluded by urging Osun people to prioritize peace over partisanship.

“There will always be another election and another opportunity to disagree politically. For now, let Osun heal. Let our leaders unite, and let the interest of our people come first.”
