Adeleke Hails Omisore as “Great Icon of Osun State” at 69*

Osun State Governor, *Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke*, has described former Deputy Governor and ex-Senator *Otunba Christopher Iyiola Ajani Omisore* as a “great icon of Osun State” as he clocks 69 years.
In a felicitation message issued on Monday in Osogbo by his spokesperson, *Mallam Olawale Rasheed*, Governor Adeleke praised Omisore for his decades of service to the state across engineering, politics, and traditional leadership.
“Today, I celebrate Otunba Omisore as a brother and a distinguished son of Osun. I wish him many more years of meaningful impact,” the Governor said.
Governor Adeleke noted that Omisore has made *notable contributions to the development of Osun* through his professional career, public service, and political engagement.
He also celebrated the Ile-Ife-born elder’s traditional stature, listing some of his chieftaincy titles: *Apesin Oodua of the Source, High Chief Lisa of Osogbo, Basorun of Ijesa Land and Otunba of Ipetumodu*, among others.
“Through every stage of his remarkable journey, whether as an Engineer, Deputy Governor, Senator, traditional leader, or community builder, he has consistently demonstrated uncommon courage, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to the progress of our people,” Adeleke stated.
On behalf of the Government and people of Osun State, the Governor congratulated Omisore on the joyous occasion and prayed that *Almighty God grants him fulfillment* as he continues to inspire and serve humanity.
He also prayed for God’s continued protection and blessings upon the celebrant and his family.
Otunba Omisore served as Deputy Governor of Osun State and later as Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District.
