President Tinubu Approves Road Projects in Some States .

 

President Bola Tinubu has approved eight road projects and several trailer park concessions worth over N438 billion across seven states of the federation.

 

The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo made this disclosure on Wednesday immediately after the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

 

DAILY POST reports that the meeting was presided over by President Bola Tinubu.

 

The projects cover Osun, Ogun, Rivers, Ekiti, Niger, Lagos, Oyo and Abia states.

 

Recall that the President also ordered that funds recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) be diverted to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, to sustain its growing funding obligations.

 

Also at the FEC meeting, Tinubu approved key projects in the health sector, including the overhaul of the National Hospital, Abuja, and the construction of a N302 billion cancer treatment centre.

N159.83 billion for the reconstruction of the Ado-Ekiti–Iyin–Aramoko–Itawure–Osun border road in Ekiti State.

 

N54.12 billion for the variation order for rehabilitation of the Abeokuta–Iboro–Ilaro Road in Ogun State.
