Hon Awotunde Flags off Empowerment Grant Distribution in Ifelodun LGA

The Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, who is also the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde,has flagged off the distribution of empowerment grants to various groups and individuals at the Ikirun City Hall in the Local Government Area.
In his welcome address, Hon. Awotunde thanked the people of Osun State, especially residents of Ifelodun LGA, for their sincere support for the people’s governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
He urged them to redouble their support for Mr Governor and work for his victory in the governorship election slated for August 15,2026 not only to reciprocate the governor’s good work, but also ,to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The ALGON Chairman said no governor in the history of Osun State had surpassed the achievements of the present administration, noting that Governor Adeleke had performed beyond expectations in every sector within three years in office.
“Governor Adeleke has indeed surpassed other previous administrations considering his track records within three years of his administration”, he added.
Hon Awotunde also urged beneficiaries to use the resources efficiently and effectively.
He assured them that the programme would be continuous and would reach more groups and individuals within a short time.
The event was attended by top political functionaries, market women, artisans, interest groups, and senior career officers of the local government.
