Ademola Lookman has been crowned the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to African football. The Super Eagles winger, who plays for Atalanta in Serie A, was announced as the winner during the CAF Awards ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16, 2024.
Lookman’s exceptional season for both club and country earned him the top spot, edging out strong competition from other talented African players. He scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 45 games across all competitions for Atalanta, including a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final, which helped his team clinch the title with a 4-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
