Eid-ei-Kabir:Osun FPS Congratulates Muslims
The Osun State Council of the Fourth -Estate Professional Society (FPS) has extended its felicitations to muslims across Nigeria, particularly in Osun as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ei-Kabir.
The Council of journalists in the State of the Living Spring in a statement jointly signed by Comrades Adedapo Owolabi and Adeoye Adegbohungbe, Chairman and Secretary respectively and made available to newsmen in Osogbo the Osun State capital called on all Muslims to reflect on the essence of Eid-ei-Kabir which teaches us the importance of sacrifice, obedience to divine command and the spirit of giving.
The statement reads in part;”Let us use this period to show kindness to our fellow human beings, extend a helping hand to the down-trodden and promote unity and peace in our various communities and in the country at large.
Saying that the celebration is an opportunity to reflect on the enduring values of peace, unity, compassion and patriotism, the statement encouraged leaders at all levels to prioritize the well -being of the masses of the people in alignment with divine guidance.
The press statement further encouraged muslims to extend charity to the less-privileged, emphasizing that kindness and generosity are integral to the moslem faith.” These are values we must uphold not only during this celebration but at all times.”the release added.
The press statement of the body of pen professionals in Osun conclusively encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the country’s peace, stability and prosperity especially as it strives towards economic recovery under the Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Presidency.
