Osun State Government Organises Capacity Building Workshop for Local Government Directors

In a bid to enhance effective and efficient service delivery in the local government system of Osun State the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has organized a strategic leadership workshop training for another batch of directors in all the eleven departments iacross the 31 Local Governmentts of the state.

The two -day workshop, which took place from January 13th to 14th, 2025, at the Admos Event Hall in Ede, Osun State,

The 2 Day Capacity building was declared open by the Head of Service, Mr. Samuel Ayanleye Aina, who represented the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In his remarks, Mr. Aina applauded Governor Adeleke’s determination to improve public service performance, stating that the workshop was a testament to the governor’s commitment to good governance.

The Permanent Secretary,Local Government Services Commission,Mrs. Modupeola Irelewuyi, also commended Governor Adeleke’s leadership excellence, urging participants to apply the skills acquired during the workshop to support the governor’s mandate.

The workshop featured discussions on effective leadership attitudes and new skills.

The Group Managing Director, Betterways, Dr Dare Victor histeam.who led other discussants charged directors to rise up to modern challenges in leadership roles and responsibility to make the state first among others.

The capacity building initiative is part of Governor Adeleke’s efforts to develop the capacity of public servants in Osun State, with the ultimate goal of delivering quality services to the people.

With this development, local government directors in Osun State are expected to demonstrate improved leadership skills and service delivery, in line with Governor Adeleke’s vision for the state.
