The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the late Olojudo of Ido – Osun,Oba Dr,Arc,Barr Aderemi Adeen Adedapo as a pragmatic and progressive traditional leader.
Governor Ademola stated this at the burial programme held at the event Hall in the ancient town where dignitaries gathered in honour of the late monarch .
Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi who represented the state Governor condoled with the family and the people of Ido Osun.
He applauded the display of wealth of experience by the late monarch when he was alive
He also prayed that the Almighty will lead the chiefs in choosing the next king.
In his own remark the Caretaker Chairman of Egbedore South LCDA ,Hon. Sakiru Adeolu Adeleke urged the people of Ido Osun to allow the memory of the King to continue to linger within them, and draw strength and inspiration from the legacy he left behind.
In the same vein, the Chairman Central Burial Committee Hon. Wahab Akinwale Ajetomobi thanked all the committee members and all the security officers in the state for making the burial a huge success.
The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty,Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi CFR was represented by Sooko of Ile Ife,
The Orangun of Ila Oba Obafemi Abdulwahab Oyedotun stood in for the Osun State Council of Obas at the event.
The Alawo of Awo, Oba Taiwo Adegboye and all Obas in Egbedore and Ido Osun Kingdom, including Babakekere of Ofatedo were also present at the occasion.
Other personalities in attendance were the three Caretaker Chairmen from Egbedore Local Government, Hon. Adesanya Okunola from Awo, Hon. Sakiru Adeolu Adeleke from LCDA Ido-Osun, and Hon. Wahab Akinwale from the Area Council, Okinni..
The National President of the National Youth Forum, Comrade Awa Bamiji, and members of Osogbo Grammar School Old Students’ Union also gathered to bid the late oba farewell.
The Grand Immam of by Egbedore Alhaji Mosudi Oladejo and CAN Chairman of Ido – Osin Rev. Pastor Jide Onaolapo, both offered prayers for the peace of Ido Osun land.
Dignitaries were entertained by Osun state Cultural troupeand Fuji maestro ,Alhaji Sefiu Also and Dapo Saba .
