Osun LGSC PS Sues for Unity, Among Directors of Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture
In a significant step highlighting the importance of collaboration in governance, Mr. Mudasiru Oyeyemi, the Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) in Osun State, Nigeria, has urged for unity and effective teamwork among the directors of the newly established Department of Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture
This appeal was made during his inaugural visit to the department on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Key Message from the Permanent Secretary made the statement while
Speaking at the Multipurpose Hall of the Local Government Service Commission during the forum maiden meeting., Mr. Oyeyemi emphasized that “information managers are key factors of any government”, highlighting the pivotal role of the department in government operations.
He stressed the need for unity and effective performance, urging directors to shun dissemination of falsehood or frivolous content.
The Permanent Secretary was welcomed by Mrs. Tina Adenegan, the department’s most senior member, alongside other directors including Elder Bukola Elufadejin
: Mr. Oyeyemi advised on maintaining unity that led to the department’s creation and discharging responsibilities effectively.

The visit included directors like Mr. Lateef Kareem (Appointment, Discipline, and Promotion) and Mr. Fatai Isiaq (Finance and Accounts).
Mrs. Tina Adenegan requested commission support via seminars for productivity enhancement.
The visit highlights the LGSC’s role in fostering collaboration and effective governance in Osun State’s local government departments.
