OSUN FPS Lauds Governor Adeleke on Creation of Department of Information in LG Service
The Fourth -Estate Professional Society (FPS) Osun State Council has lauded Osun State Governor, Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke for signing into law the bill that created the Department of lnformation, Youths, Sports and Culture in the Local Government Service of Osun State.
The Department of lnformation, Youths, Sports and Culture created with the Executive Governor’s assent to the bill passed by the State House of Assembly thus becomes the eleventh department in the State Local Government Service.
This commendation was made today by the body of pen professionals in the State in a press statement signed by Comrades Adedapo Owolabi and Adeoye Adegbohungbe, Chairman and Secretary respectively and made available to news men today in Osogbo the Osun State capital.
The Osun FPS said the People’s Governor deserves to be commended for having hearkened to the age-long yearnings and aspiration of lnformation Officers for the creation of department of lnformation at the local government level.
The Society of Journalists in the State of the Living Spring in the press release affirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke has unequivocally written his name in gold in the annals of history of the state as a listening governor, who is conscious of development in all sectors.
The release called on the Local Government Service Commission for support as usual to actualize the new department.
Also, journalist professionals in the local governments of the State are enjoined to be more dutiful, efficient, effective and responsible ever than before in the onerous task of information dissemination particularly at the grassroots.
