Osun CDC: Agbajelola Emerges New State Chairman

Osun State recorded another milestone in the history of Community Development Council as its members across the state converged at the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, Abeere to elect a new set of executives to run the affairs of the association at the state level.
The programme witnessed large turn out from all the Local Governments in the state.
Director of Community Development in the Ministry Community and Rural Development,Mr. Lateef Adedapo charged members that to see their elections as service to humanity.
He advised them not to betray the trust reposed on them an that they should live up to expectations .
He advised them to synergize with the government of the day for rapid development of every community in the state.
The elections,which came up had the following people emerged as Osun State new executives members of the body:
* Alhaji Salam M. Agbajelola.. Chairman
* Alhaji Yinusa A. Salawu – Deputy Chairman
* Mr. Adesina Olabode T. – Vice Chairman
* Mr. Adewole T. Akinlolu – Secretary
* Mr. Ariyo Sulaiman O. – Ass. Secretary
* Mr. Ogundipe Muritala – Treasurer
* Mr. Oke Mathew – Financial Secretary
* Mr. Ajiroba Basiru – Ass. Fin. Secretary
* Mr. Olaniyi Olatunde – Auditor 1
* Mr. Adeleye Adeniyi – Auditor II

* Hon. Oyedokun Wasiu O. – Project Coordinator
* Mrs. Odekunmi Kemi – Women Rep. I

The new State Chairman, Alhaji Salam Agbajelola who is alsothe Chairman C.D.C., Ede South Local Government, in his acceptance speech urged all his co-executives, to co-operate with him to work together as a team” because a tree cannot make a forest.”accordingly to him
He promised to do all within his power to always liase with the government in order to have a rapid development in all the communities in Osun State.
In their separate remarks, High Chief Agboola Rasheed Taiwo, the Baale of Oke Ijetu, Osogbo and Surveyor Oladapo Fasina, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry who represented the Honourable Commissioner for Rural and Community Development Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, assured C.D.C Executives and members that they were lucky to be part of history in making Osun State to be great again under Governor Ademola Adeleke,who is ever ready to bring dividends of democracy to all the communities in the state.
Among those who witnessed the election are the Directors in the Department of Social Development And Informations in all the Local Governments in Osun State led by their Forum Chairman, Mr. Shadrach Ologbenla, the Deputy Directors as well as other top officers in the department.
