NIPR @ 60: Osun State Government pledges partnership

The Osun State Government has pledged partnership and collaboration with the Osun State Chapter of Nigeria Institute of Public
The State Commissioner for Enviroment and Sanitation, Hon. Mayowa Adejoorin, representing the Governor of Osun State stated this on Saturday during the 60th Anniversary tagged Diamond Road Walk and Tree Planting of the Institute in Osogbo, Osun State.
The Honorable Commissioner said “Public Relations Practitioners have a crucial role to play in nation-building and that was why Osun State Government donated 60 tree seedlings to NIPR in Osun for making Nigeria green, refreshed, and invigorated”.
Mr Wale Oyekanmi, a member of the Governing Council of NIPR on behalf of the National President of Nigeria Institute of Public Relation, Dr Ike Neliaku hailed former President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangiga who signed the decree that established the Institute in June 1990 after planning his own tree, and enjoined the members to keep the flag flying.
The Chairman of NIPR in Osun State, Mr Ademola Adesoji, said in his remark stated that the diamond anniversary celebration not only marks a significant milestone for the NIPR but also reinforces the importance of health, environmental sustainability, and community involvement.
He added, that the tree planting was selected to complement the government’s efforts in preventing erosion and preserving the environment.
Following this, the Chairman of NIPR Osun State Chapter, along with Council members, fellows, and other members of the chapter, took part in the planting activities.
