Irepodun South Elects New CDC Executive

A new set of people have emerged as executive members of Community Development Council in Irepodun South Local Council Development Area.
The new Executive members were elected in a peacefully conducted election by representatives of the various community development associations in the local government area at Oke Awesin, Erin Osun .
It would be recalled that the dissolution of the immediate past CDC Executive members in all the local government areas in Osun State was recently announced by the state government and a directive was issued to elect new CDC officials without delay.
In compliance with the directive of the state government , the Caretaker Chairman, Irepodun South ,Hon Wasiu Kayode Sulaiman gave an approval for the CDC election to be conducted in the local government on Tuesday 27th,2024.
Irepodun South Caretaker Committee chairman,Hon Kayode Sulaiman expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful manner in which the election was being conducted.
He urged the people to continue to maintain peace during and after the exercise.

Director of Social and Community Development Department in Irepodun South LCDA,Mrs Mujidat Adekilekun commended the people for their impressive turn out during the election and urged them to be peaceful and orderly in their conduct so as to make the election a hitch- free exercise.
Shortly before the election, the Assistantelectoral officer , Mrs Christiana Olasinde took time to explain rules and procedures guiding the election to the voters and urged them to maintain peace and order in their conduct.
Ten positions were contested for in the election and the winners were:
Chairman—-Mr Adekola Raheem
Vice Chairman—Mr Gbadamosi Rasak
General Secretary—Elder Aderinola Joseph
Asst General secretary—-Mr Subair Ibrahim
Treasurer—–Mrs Azeez Sekinat
Financial Secretary—Mr Daramola Yekeen
PRO—-mrAfolabi Musefiu
Auditor—mrs Mulikat Babatunde
Women Representative—mrs Olagunju Felicia
Project Coordinator—Alh Adebayo Abioye
In his address shortly after the election, the Chairman elect, Mr Adekola Raheem gave glory to God and thanked the voters for their trust in him.
He congratulated other elected executive members and urged them to join hands with him.
He pledged his team’s readiness to cooperate with the government for the development of the council area.
