“Time is the mother of events’, so they say. Hence, it’s plausible to posit that time and true prosperity are the preeminent judges of humanity. And that, track record of deeds articulate volume of individuals and his personality.

It’s therefore a great thing when people are placed in the realm of affairs and such measured up to the standard, as well imprint their mark of human feelings on the sand of time for generations unborn to write about.

Such is the impact made by the Caretaker Chairman of Ede East Local Council Development Area, Sekona, Honourable Oyetunji Hassan Oyelola and his team.

‘He who would spite the sight of an elephant would belittle the proverbial stampede’. With all sincerity, the sight of this gigantic creature causes even the brave to hide for safety.

Aside from the obvious gallant fact of his humble but firm and realistic nature, the charismatic approach of Hon. Oyetunji to matters relating to human social welfare is paramount and so dear to his heart. No wonder he installed a working transformer at Sekona community; one of the giant stride achievement of his administration. The installation of this transformer, no doubt, a foregrounding expression of his commitment to the overall development of the LCA. It is hoped that the installation of the transformer will promote business activities, enhance security and foster mutual relationship of Sekona community and the LCDA as a whole.

There is also the drilling of motorized borehole in several communities of the LCA to provide rural potable water. Community like Olodan, Moubi, Alajue, Sekona, Akoda and others villages can now enjoy potable water supply, courtesy of the chairman’s welfare-project scheme.

To show his commitment to access road, Mr. Chairman also facilitated the grading of polytechnic road to Loogun community and the construction of access culvert at the entrance of Ede East LCDA temporary secretariat, Sekona.

He also continues the construction of Ede East LCDA permanent site to lintel level with a borehole for potable water supply.

As part of his human relation, Hon. Oyetunji continues to hold series of meeting with traditional rulers, community leaders and the community youths which continues to yield positive result in the interest of the community.

The successful processing and the selection of the new Olu of Alajue land was peaceful, without discord among the concerned royal families.

This is a display of his sincerity and administrative capacity.

Ask any political office holder, local government staff or any other stakeholders about the generosity of Hon. Hassan Oyelola; one would indeed infatuate with his heart of ‘welfarism’.

He also hosts several vocational training one of which was jointly organized with National Directorate of Employment to cater for the growth and development of the youth across five political wards in Ede East LCDA.

Renovation of four (4) blocks of classrooms at Muslim Primary School, Sekona is a strong testimony to his love for grassroots development and love towards qualitative primary education.

With all these physical and human development in place by this vibrant resourceful politician -cum-philanthropist, one cannot but say that Hon. Oyetunji Hassan deserves a stool of kinship in this Arena of politics.
