The Caretaker Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government and Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria ( ALGON), Osun State, Hon. Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde,has described the present administration under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke as people and development focused in all ramifications.
Hon. Awotunde made this known while playing
hosts to the participants of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 46, 2024 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategies Studies (2024) Kuru, during a familiarisation visit to Ifelodun Local Government.
Welcoming the team led by Commode Godwin Obaje to the Local Govt. Secretariat Conference hall, Ikirun, where he addressed the participants, Hon. Awotunde said in the last few months, the administration of Senator Adeleke has made Osun the envy and pride of not only the people of the state but the country at large.
According to Hon. Awotunde, “At the risk of exaggeration, our Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke has turned Osun into a cynosure of all eyes, in the area of different infrastructural developments being carried out in different towns and cities and even villages. As you must have seen since your arrival to the state in the last few days, virtually everywhere has been turned to mega construction sites and that is why we make bold to refer to our Governor as “Mr Performer”. I want to particularly thank you for the choice of Osun state and in particular, Ifelodun Local Government for this historic visit. I make bold,to also say that, you are going to leave Osun with a very good impression of the state and our dear Governor.” Ended Hon. Awotundes remark.
Earlier, the team lead from NIPPS, Kuru, Jos, Commodore Godwin Obaje
accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service,Osun State, Mr. Kolawole Akintola, appreciated Hon. Awotunde for the warm reception accorded them.
Commodore Obaje who also acknowledged the series of development oriented programmes going on in the state since their arrival, told Hon. Awotunde and his Ifelodun Local Government officials that the Institute looks forward to areas of partnership with the Council in youth empowerment, digital economy and job creation among others geared towards nation building.
Present at the brief but symbolic visit to Ifelodun L. G by NIPSS team of Senior Executive Course 46,2024 were, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Musibau Onilewura, Secretary, Hon. Toyin Adebayo and other Ward Caretaker Members including all the heads of department in the various departments of the council led by the Head of Local Government Administration ,Comrade Abiodun Ojo.
