Hon Francis Agboola Commences Grading of 10KM Rural Roads Across Obokun Local Government Area

Obokun Local Government has commenced the grading of 10km rural roads across the towns and villages in the five wards of the council.
This is in line with vision of the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke towards extending the dividends of democracy to the people living in the rural areas, and also to help reduce their burden and ease their affairs.
The chairman Obokun Local Government Hon Pastor Francis Olajire Agboola who was accompanied by the Council Secretary Hon. Prince Adebangbe Adejoorin and other honorable members were received in a rousing welcome by the people of ward 02, where the project started during an on-site visitation to the venue.

Hon. Pastor Francis Olajiire Agboola while speaking with the media unit during the course of the interview gave an insightful overview of the grading assessment, where he laid emphasis on the overall activity the council has put in place to ensure that the project is successful.
The statements read in part;
“6 It is visible to everyone that the governor of Osun State, H.E. Sen. (Dr) Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke led administration is turning things around positively in the interest of the good people of Osun state”
“As such, this has motivated me as the council chairman and it brought about the motives behind the grading process so that the people from the rural areas can also feel the impact of the current government, this when completed, will help in easing the affairs of the villagers in carrying out their activities without any hindrances and thereby in turn help the farmers in their bids to transporting farm and agricultural products from the farmland to where it would be sold for human consumption” the statement added.
The good people of Ipetu Ile/Ada Owode/Ase Ijesa (Ward 02) where the project started were excited to receive the kind gestures extended by the council leadership while they appreciated the ongoing efforts, noting that it is coming at a time when the roads need serious repairs and expansion as the raining season is fast approaching.
As at the time of filing this report, the grading exercise in ward 02 has covered the road from Ipetu Ile market Square through Alada of Ada-owode’s Palace road, leading to Ikirun road, Methodist Church road Ipetu Ile, also some areas in Isale-Offa street, Ada Owode to mention but few.
In his final remark, Hon. Pastor Francis Olajiire Agboola opined that he is committed to providing an ease of affairs to the people of people of Obokun noting that projects of high preference and that of economic importance would be his priority and shall be given an utmost and maximum attention as at when due with respect to the resources at the disposal.
