Wife of LG Boss Launches Renewed Hope Project in Osun.

The First Lady Mrs Omidele Mufudat Arike, launched the Renewed Hope Initiative programme at the council secretariat hall yesterday..

The wife of the Governor of Osun State, Chief Mrs Titilola Adeleke has called on all wives of local government chairmen to support ‘the Renewed Hope Initiative’ a ‘Pet’ program of the First Lady of the Federation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.and ensure they actualize it across their various local government areas.

The programme which covers area such as, Education, Health and Agriculture are keys to sustainability of total development of women and children in Osun in particular and Nigeria in general.

Hence, the wife of the Chairman Mrs Omidele Mufudat Anike launched the memorable ‘PET’ program for the betterment of the grassroots women, children and girl child in the council area, by distributing farm seedlings like; maize, vegetables,grasses/weeds control herbicides ,and exercise books to the school children.

Mrs Anike, at the occasion, while delivering her speech reiterated her commitment in contributing her own quota to the development of women & children welfare in the council area.

She enjoined women at the grassroots to participate in Agriculture by cultivating available land around them to eradicate hunger and unemployment.

She also counselled mothers to be more vigilant in training their children, most especially,enhancing the girl child education,noting that children are the future and hope of tomorrow.

Medical check-up and Health Talk were organized to sensitize the participants by the medical personnel in the local government area as part of the program.

Free exercise books were also freely distributed to some primary school pupils in attendance.

Also in attendance were: the council chairman,Hon.Omidele Kazeem,and other Caretaker Members with the Vice Chairman- Mrs Adedoja Adedamola,and the Secretary – Mrs Salawu Idowu,and other women wards members of the WDU unit of the council area.

N.U.T representatives from the local government were also in attendance.
