The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR) Osun State Chapter, has honoured some successful indigenous men and women, who have contributed positively in their chosen careers.
The annual programe which commenced last year, came up at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Ile Awiye, Oke Baale, Osogbo.
The Executive Governor of Osun state,Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke was awarded the Patron of the institute.
Others who bagged different category of Awards are
Comrade Bukola Elufadejin, Director of Information,Olorunda Local Government as the most outstanding Local Government Information Officer of the year.
Others are Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG;HRM Oba (Dr) Abdurasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu1 (Oluwo of Iwoland), HRM Oba (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa1(Timi of Edeland);Prince Diran Odeyemi, Chairman Governing Council, Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke; Mr Rasheed Bolarinwa, Head, Corporate Communication, Polaris Bank ;Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju, Public Relations Officer, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife,;Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former governor of Osun State, Ms Kikelomo Owoeye, Public Relations Officer, IBEDC; Ms Osimosu Oluwaseun, Public Relations Officer, INEC,; Ms Abisola Ariwodola, Information Officer, Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment; Mr Michael Adeyemi, Retired Director, Federal Civil Service and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
In his goodwill messages, the state Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke who ably represented by the commissioner for Information and Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi eulogises the executives and members of NIPR and urged them not to relent to be staunch professional body.
He equally pledged the total support of mr governor for the development of the institute secretariat
The host Director General/Permanent Secretary of OSBC, Alh Rasheed Folaranmi, who represented by Mrs Jolaade Igbaroola, Director of Programmes congratulated the institute and the awardees.
Alh Folaranmi thanked Mr Governor for his kind gesture in providing new transmitters to replace the obsolete ones in all the its Osogbo,Iwo and Ile ife stations
He further declared his unflinching support for the NIPR, Osun State Chapter.
Comrade Bukola Elufadejin,who was flanked by his beautiful wife, while receiving the award gave thank to God for counting him worthy for the award
All the awardees took turn to appreciate the kind gesture of the NIPR and promised to be patners in progress to the proffessional body.
The chairman NIPR, Osun State Chapter, Mr Ademola Adesoji, appreciated Mr Governor and all donors for supporting the institute towards the success of the programme.
