‘Embrace Agriculture’, Wife of LG Boss Charges Women

The Chairperson,Olorunda Local Government,Igbonna Osogbo , Osun state Mrs Gloria Kolade has charged women to shift attention to agriculture in order to reduce the hardship being experienced recently in the nation .
Mrs Kolade made this remark while delivering her keynote address during the distribution of variety of seeds to the women selected across the seven wards of the Local Government.
She emphasized that the programme was a replication of Renewed Hope Initiative of Nigeria First Lady,Senator Oluremi Tinubu aimed at empowering women in the area of Agriculture,Health and Education.and promoting girl-child education.
While making her remark
the wife of ALGON Chairman ,Chief Mrs Monisade Awotunde advised women to always be concerned about their health and maintain clean environment.
The Director of Primary Health Care, Dr Olaoye who delivered a lecture on health charged all present to take their health more seriously.
The Council Caretaker Chairman, Hon Obafemi Kolade commended all participants and assured them of more dividends of democracy during his administration.
The event which took place at the Local Government Secretariat also featured sensitisation of women on Agriculture by Director of Agriculture, Engr Olaleye Fakayode.
