Wife of Council Chairman Empowers Women in Ifelodun Area Council

The wife of Ifelodun Area Council, Mrs. Adewumi Adebimpe today distributed cash and Agricultural seedlings to selected women across the wards in Ifelodun Areas Council,Osun State at the council Secretariat.
The programme which was attended by dignitaries from all works of life has in attendance, the chairman of the council, Alhaji Akogun Ganiyu Adebimpe, the wife of the ALGON Chairman, Mrs Awotunde, wife of the chairman, Boripe Local Government and host of others.
In her address, Mrs. Adebimpe noted that the renewed hope initiative programme was initiated by the wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to cater for three (3) cardinal Programmes of Education, Women ,female Child’s Health and Agriculture.
She emphasized the roles of women in the family setting and pointed out the reasons why the government at all levels must provide necessary supports to the women, especially at the grassroots level to improve their socio-economic status that will boost their living conditions through agricultural practices.
The first lady urged the beneficiaries to take serious, the education of their children, as this will go a long way in reducing poverty and illiteracy especially among the women and female Children.
She then thanked her husband Alhaji Akogun Ganiyu Adebimpe for providing her with moral and financial supports for the success of the programme
While reacting ,Alhaji Akogun thanked cabinets and the entire management for their supports since the inception of his administration.
He urged the beneficiaries to make efficient use of the items and the cash and use it for the purpose in which it was meant for.
He thereafter promised rapid development across the towns and villages in the area council in terms of infrastructure facilities.
While addressing the crowd, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Cornelius Olasunkami charged those at the programme to go any length in sponsoring their children’s education as they are their future. He enjoined them to make sure they give priority to the education of their children by making sure they do everything humanly possible to allow their children have access to education.
Other events at the program were lectures delivered by the Director of Social Development and Information Mr Sarafadeen Adeyemi, director of Primary Health Care Mrs Subair Victoria and the Director of Agriculture and Food Security Mr Opalola Mudasiru
