Olorunda Councl Boss Assures Better Governance

The need to bring unique difference to governance at the grassroots has remained the focus of the Caretaker Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, Igbonna Osogbo Hon Obafemi Kolade.
The Chairman,while addressing people of the ancient town at a Town Hall meeting organized to seek for inclusion of people’s needs in year 2024 Budget Stated this in Osogbo.
Hon Obafemi who was appointed three months ago by the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke seized the opportunity to highlight his achievements .
He stated that the state Governor has ,within his few days in office, provided seven motorized boreholes with generating sets in all the seven wards of the council
He added that his administration has purchased and supplied seven prepaid meters to all these locations for easy access to potable water.
Director of Budget,Planning and Statistics in the Local Government,Mr Segun Adeyemi commended the initiative of the present government and assured the people that their requests would be captured in the Year 2024 budget appropriately.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Barrister Christianah Kikelomo Oyebade admonished attendees to reciprocate the good gesture of Hon Kolade-led administration by paying their taxes and approved rates in the Local Government as and when due.
She assured them of getting more dividends of democracy as the administration will enjoy unrivalled support from the workers of the council.
Honourable Kunle Opatola,the state Publicity secretary of PDP and Chairman LGEA board,solicited for the cooperation of the officials of Local Government in improving primary education system.
While responding the Babaloja of Osogbo Land ,Chief David Iyiola promised absolute cooperation and encouraged the council to recruit more environmental health workers to ensure cleanliness in the council areas
The event was attended by representative of Ataoja of Osogbo Land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, ward members,Artisans,religious leaders pensioners, community Development Associations and Political office holders and Directors of various departments among others.
