Olorunda LG NULGE Commissions Staff Canteen

All roads led to Olorunda Local Government Secretariat, Igbonna Osogbo,Osun State today as the administration of Comrade Lukman Olakuleyin, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda branch of Osun State made a landmark achievement of the commissioning of an ultra modern restaurant for the use of the members of staff and the general public.
The commissioning was well attended by members of staff of Olorunda Local Government main council as well as other members of staff from the sister councils of Olorunda North, Ota Efun, Osogbo and Ilie Administrative Council.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Lukman Olakuleyin thanked God for bringing him thus far to achieve something great even with the paucity of fund in Local Government.
He dedicated his achievements to unrivalled cooperation received from all members of staff.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Head of Local Government Administration of Olorunda Local Government, Barrister Kikelomo Oyebade, eulogized the Chairman and his cabinet members. She further sought for the support of his administration from the members of staff.
The state chairman of NULGE, Comrade Dr Nathaniel Ogungbangbe, who was ably represented by his vice, Comrade Iyabo Olanrewaju, was full of surprises with the performance of Comrade Olakuleyin’s administration in the council.
She then rated him as one of the best among his contemporaries.
The Head of Local Government Administration of Olorunda North, TPL Adeyemi Abdul Rasaq and the Head of Local Government Administration of Ilie administrative office, Mr Adejumo Fatai, took their turns to praise the performance of Olakuleyin’s administration.
Part of the highlights of the event was the conferment of award of excellence on notable members of the union for their contributions to the union.
Among the recipients of the award are the Head of Local Government Administration of Olorunda Local Government, Bar. Kikelomo Oyebade, and her counterparts from Olorunda North Local Government and Ilie Adminstrative Office .
Other recipients include the past chairmen of NULGE in Olorunda Local Government who have contributed in one way or the other to the growth of the union.
While appreciating Comrade Olakuleyin’s administration for the gesture, the Olorunda Council boss, Barr. Kikelomo Oyebade dedicated the award to all female staff in the council.
Barr. Kikelomo also used to occasion to congratulate the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, on his victory at the Supreme court.
She also seized the opportunity to charge members to always support the new government saying it is their duty to cooperate with the government of the day.
The occasion was rounded off with the official commissioning of the restaurant which was performed by the vice president of NULGE, Comrade Iyabo Olanrewaju, flanked by the council’s boss, Bar. Kikelomo and the director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Victoria Adenuga, her counterpart from Social and Information Department, Elder Bukola Elufadejin, and the director of Town Planning Department, TPL OBF Adeagbo, while other attendee
s cheered in joy.
