Lagos NUJ inaugurates Press centre in grand style.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Lagos State Council has commissioned its remodelled secretariat.
The event which took place at Iyalla Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State was witnessed by many important dignitaries.
The Chairman of the council, Comrade Adeleye Ajayi in his address chronicled the stages of executivesbwho had contributed to the development of the project since 2002 until the Founder of Esther Ajayi Foundation, Rev.Mother, Esther Ajayi took over the project and completed it.
Mrs Olufunke Fadugba former Chairman of the Council who bought the original building 20 years ago expressed her delight for completion of the project.
The President of NUJ, Chief Chris Isiguzo MFR while appreciating all those who contributed to the completion of the project, congratulated Lagos council leaders for not abandoning the project .
While commending Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, Isiguzo acknowledged all the contributors of the project including theLagos State Government.
According to him, ‘this comes from unusual quarters and
you have given us a unique identity in Lagos Council.
He also announced the renaming of the Council conference Hall at Ladi Lawal after Rev Mother Ajayi who was also presented with the award of Grand Matron of the union.
He further charged the executive to engage in training and retraining of members and promote developmental journalism.
The cleric, while unveiling the plague, gave all glory to the Almighty God who gave her the grace to contribute her quota to the pen profession in a little way.
She pledged to do more as God gives her the grace.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was represented by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, applauded those who supported the project.
Former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba and other dignitaries witnessed the occasion.
