2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: NUJ CALLS FOR PRAYERS

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Local Government Information Chapel, Osun State Council has called on all Nigerians irrespective of their tribes, religious beliefs and political inclinations to fervently pray to God for free, fair,credible, transparent, acceptable peaceful and successful elections as we are in the much-talked general election year.
The Osun NUJ Local Government Chapel made this passionate call in Oshogbo today in its new year message to all Nigerians in a statement made available to news men.
In the statement signed by Comrades Adedapo Owolabi and Adeoye Adegbohungbe ,Chairman and Secretary respectively, the professional and industrial Union enjoined all and sundry to also pray for unity, peace and progress in our country and do all the needful constitutionally and morally to make Nigeria great again saying “this is a great duty that we owe our dear motherland; to enhance her and to boost her in the eyes of all the world.”
The Union in the statement glorified the Almighty God who saw us all through the wilderness of year 2022 and has ushered us into year 2023 safely, peacefully and joyfully.
While the great and prestigious Union wished all its members and indeed all Nigerians joyful new year celebrations, it nonetheless prayed for a happy, progressive and prosperous new year for all and sundry.
