Osun NUJ inaugurates Oodua 90.9 FM Chapel

Nigeria Union of Journalists,Osun State Council has Inaugurated Oodua 90.9 FM on Tuesday.
The event which was presided over by the council Secretary,Comrade Bukola Elufadejin on behalf of the State Council Chairman Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and the National President,Chief Chris Isiguzo,MFR took place in the premises of the station in Ile-Ife.
The two in one event also witnesed swearing- in of the first set of chapel executive to pilot the affairs of the new chapel.
While presenting the Code of Ethics and Constitution of the Union to the management and the new Executive,Comrade Elufadejin affirmed that the union was both trade and professional body serving as interface between the management and the members of the Union to uphold professionalism and ensure members welfarism.
He further advised the new members to uphold professionalism and engage in dialogues rather than confrontation.
Mr Elufadejin also encouraged members of Oodua FM chapel to always attend congresses,pay dues regularly and involve in other activities of the Union.
With this, Oodua 90.9 FM is recognized as a member of the NUJ in Osun and the thirteenth on the list of chapels in the state.
Oodua 90.9 FM, a private radio station in Ile-Ife, Osun State was established in December 2016 by Hon Rotimi Makinde, a former House of Representatives member, representing Ife Federal Constituency.
Hon Rotimi Makinde, the Chief Executive Officer of the radio station commended the leadership of the union for the great feat and promised to allow the union to operate within the ambit of the Union code of ethics and Constitution.
Hon Makinde who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr Bisi also encouraged workers of the radio station to ensure fairness in their reportage.
In his address, Oodua FM station Manager, Kolawole Abdulazeez extended appreciation to the Union for recognizing the radio station as a member of the union.
Members of the new executive are
Comrade Kolawole Azeez as Chairman while the vice chairman is Comrade Emmanuel Babalola.

Comrade Onasile Motunrayo Secretary ; Comrade Gbenga Oyelakin, Assistant Secretary;
Comrade Adedamola Oyefusi, Financial Secretary; Comrade Sunday Olaniran,Auditor and Comrade Odunayo Fatoba who will act as Treasurer..
