Ifelodun Area Council Inaugurates Newly Elected Councillors

The Executive Chairperson of Ifelodun Area Council,
Princess Fausat Jimoh inaugurated the newly elected councillors yesterday at the council secretariat premises.
The event which was attended by APC stalwarts and the entire members of All Progressive Congress in Ifelodun Area Council was graced with ovation and merry making as politicians were seen in jubilation mood.
While delivering her speech, the Executive Chairperson, Honorable Fausat Jimoh thanked the leaders of All Progressive Congress in the Area Council ably led by Elder Adelowo for the support given to her and other contestants before, during and after the just concluded Local Government election.
She stated that the present administration in the state of Osun has brought immense human and infrastructural development to the good people of the state.
In her word, “You can all see that Mr. Governor is recruiting qualified teachers into our public schools and Oyes cadets is another way to create employment opportunities for our teaming youths”.
She then admonished the newly sworn in councillors to be men of good repute by discharging their responsibilities as the representative of the people.
She urged them to place people’s interests above their personal interest.
Princess Fausat maintained that the only way to achieve the desired development is to create a rancor- free environment by allowing peace and unity to reign supreme among the citizenry.
She therefore urged political office holders to work together in harmony so as to achieve the targeted goals.
In his reaction, honourable Soji Oyebode thanked the leadership of All Progressive Congress in the area council for the support they received during the tough time.
He then promised that their government will bring rapid development to the area Council politically and in the area of infrastructure.
He maintained that the local government will produce senate and house of representatives candidates in the future elections.
Other dignitaries at the event include; the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Asimiyu Abiodun, the Director of AdministrationAnd General Services; Mr. Olatundun Olubunmi, the Director of Social Development and Information; Alhaji Olasunkanmi Rasaq among others.
