The chairman Olorunda North LCDA Alh Muhammed Gazal Kazeem Kayode has sworn in his vice and other eight councilors who emerged winners in the just concluded Local Government election that was held last Saturday across the state.
Recall that Hon Gazal was sworn in together with other 68 Chairmen across the state by Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
The ceremony which took place at the Council Chamber overcrowded as people from all works of life trooped in to witness the process.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Surveyor Rasaq Adeyemo congratulated all the elected political office holders for their success in the just concluded Local Government Election held last Saturday.
“I wish you more success in your various political careers” he added.
The council chairman, Alhaji (Hon) Muhammed Gazal Kazeem Kayode while delivering his welcome address also congratulated his Vice, Hon. Shakirat Adeoye and all the councilors for their victory in the just concluded election.
The chairman implored the new councilors to abide by the Party doctrine of good governance, equity and fairness, and the need to follow the footsteps of Mr Governor for delivery of dividends of democracy to all people of Olorunda North LCDA.
” I want you to continue your good work which have been paused as a result of interregnum during the electioneering”
” Now that you have returned, let people in all nooks and crannies of our LCDA positively feel your impacts vis a vis dividends of democracy ” the chairman added.
The swearing in ceremony proper was conducted by the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Toyin Kehinde Ogunwale as she led the Councilors to swear both Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office.
The swearing in of the Vice was followed by other Councilors, they are: Hon Taiwo Hassan (Ward 8A), Hon Kehinde Asiru (ward 10A), Hon Azeez Rahman (1C), Hon Komolafe Olúwaṣeun (ward 8B).
Others are: Hon Lasisi Saheed (ward 8C), Hon Isiaka Amodu (ward 9A), Hon Aliu Akeem (ward 9B), and Hon Gelil Kazali (ward 10B).
The Party Chairman, Alh Aminu Ahmed wished all the ececutives successful tenure in their various offices.
The Community Development Council Chairman Alh Mufutau Oladapo fervently prayed for the new political functionaries in the LCDA.
As part of the process, some key officers were nominated and sworn to oversee fthe legislative chamber of the Council.
Those who emerged are Hon Taiwo Hassan as Leader of the House, Hon Kehinde Asiru, emerged as Deputy Leader.
Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion are, the wife of the new Chairman, political stalwarts of Olorunda North LCDA. Well wishers and acquaintances of the newly elected councilors.
Directors of the various Departments in the LCDA as well as members of staff of the council were part of this event.
