As Governor Oyetola of Osun State sworn in the newly elected chairmen in all 69 Local Governments Areas, Local Council Development Areas, Area
Councils and Area Offices throughout the state, the newly sworn in Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Kunle Kudayisi has complemented the effort by swearing in the Vice _Chairman and other eight Councillors who were elected alongside the Chairman in the last Saturday Local Government election.
The swearing in ceremony which took place at the multipurpose hall in the premises of the Secretariat which is located at Olonkoro, Osogbo, played host to stalwarts of All Progressives Congress (APC) from the nooks and crannies of the local council.
The ceremony which was conducted by the Head Of Administration and General Services of the council, Mrs Victoria Ayobami Adenuga representing the Head of Local Government Administration,Barrister(Mrs) Kikelomo Oyebade first saw to the swearing in of the Vice_Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Solomon.
This was followed by the swearing in of councillors from all the eight wards in the council.
The councillors are: Hon. Segun Ogunkanmi (ward 1), Hon. Oyetunde Rufai( ward 2), Hon. Ajibola Taofeek (Ward 3)and Hon. Adeosun MUIDEEN (ward 4).
Others include, Hon. Hon. Raji Taofeek (ward 5),Hon. Ajibola Saheed(ward 6),Hon. Ademola Adesina Badmus(ward 7) and Hon(Mrs) Oyeyemi Adeola Olatona who was elected to represent ward 8 of the Council.
The occasion also witnessed the election of four principal officers among the eight councillors as Hon. Adeosun Muideen emerged the Leader. Hon. Jide Ogunkanmi was elected as the Deputy Leader with Hon.Taofeek Ajibola emerging as the Majority Leader while Hon. Hon. Oyekunle Rufai emerged as the Chief Whip.
While giving his remarks, the Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Kunle Kudayisi appreciated governor Oyetola for the opportunity to serve the people of Olotunda in this capacity and also urged the party followers in the council to always support the new administration.
The council boss also used the opportunity to seek for a continued support for his administration has been getting from the career officers right from their days as the caretaker committee members.
He then assured people that his administration will not relent efforts on good governance.
Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Olorunda chapter, Hon. Alhaji Kabir Adepoju Ayatulahi, who charged the newly sworn in political office holders not to embark on political vendetta while in office.
“Strive hard to make landmark achievements and carry along all your supporters;be of good example and above all make service to the people your watchword” the party chairman added.
Present at this epoch making occasion are the Assistant Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Waheed Adediran, former party Chairman in Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Abiodun Kilanko, the Women Wing, the Youth Wing, all wards chairmen of APC across the local government as well as career officers in the council.
